Award-winning
recording artist Ari Gold will perform an exclusive benefit
concert for the Soulforce Equality Ride. Special guests
include Rent's Anthony Rapp, Project
Runway contestant and designer Jack Mackenroth, and Emmy
award-winning comic Judy Gold, creator of 25
Questions for a Jewish Mother.
Large groups of
young LGBT activists have been boarding the Soulforce
Equality Ride bus each year since 2006 to visit university
campuses across the country as part of an
awareness campaign of LGBT issues for college
administrators and students. This year's campaign will
concentrate on the southern United States and will include
seminaries and several faith-based historically black
colleges, according to a press release by the group.
Gold will appear
at 8 p.m. Wednesday, April 16, at Touch, 240 W.
52nd St., New York City. For tickets visit Soulforce.org/concert.
