Between giving speeches for her mother in Oregon, Chelsea Clinton made an appearance at Portland's legendary Red Dress Party, an annual dance where almost 2,000 attendees -- mostly gay men -- don red gowns and enjoy disco, the Willamette Week reported Sunday.

Clinton "moved heaven and earth," trimming appearances in Eugene and at Portland State University, to make the event, according to the reporter. She quickly became the party's focus, drawing the attention of even the event's top-billed musical act, rockers Storm Large and the Balls. Large, a die-hard Obama supporter, dedicated one of her more famous songs, "Ladylike," to Hillary Clinton.

The former first daughter left the party early, according to the Willamette Week, to try out MAX, Portland's light-rail mass transit system. (The Advocate)
