1. Talk to your doctor about HPV, the Pap smear, and the vaccine.

2. Any bumps or lesions on your penis, scrotum, or anus should be reported to your doctor.

3. Get a digital rectal exam and Pap smear.

4. Use condoms -- they reduce the risk of transmitting HPV.

5. Stop smoking. It has been found that smoking is related to HPV's progression to cancer.
