A brief but angry encounter inside Coconuts Cafe, a popular lesbian bar in Baltimore, ended in a fatal shooting around 2 a.m. this past Saturday, March 7. Twenty-five year old Sctario Tia Edwards was one of the victims of the shooting which, according to police reports, was instigated by an earlier altercation on the dance floor. Edwards and the unidentified suspect allegedly bumped into one another at some point in the evening, causing the suspect to leave the bar angrily.

Later, when Edwards got in her car with a female friend, the suspect approached, pulled out a metal pipe and began beating Edwards.

"After the beating the suspect produced a handgun and shot the victim, then shot the individual seated in the car, and a stray bullet struck a third victim," Nicole Monroe of the Baltimore City Police Department told ABC News.

The shooter then returned to Edwards and shot her again, this time killing her. The other two victims survived the attack.

The suspect, who has been described as "a light skinned black female, with dreadlocks down her back, about 5'6-5'7, and weighing over 200 pounds," fled the scene in a dark SUV and has not yet been found or identified.

Anyone with information on this crime should contact the Baltimore City Police.
