Judge Judy Sheindlin
appeared on
Larry King Live
Wednesday night to talk about a variety of topics -- including
Prop. 8.
Sheindlin told King
that with all of the many problems America is currently facing,
marriage between two people "who love each other" shouldn't
be of concern. She says poverty, the AIG bonuses, and the war
in Iraq are among the issues that should concern Americans.
She added that
President Obama should be particularly sensitive to issues
facing gay couples because "there was a time that members
of his race couldn't marry members of another race. You
wouldn't tolerate that today."
The popular television
judge also weighed in on issues including the economy and the
recent Chris Brown/Rihanna scandal. She previously appeared on
King's show in November after Prop. 8 passed in
California to express her disappointment.
Sheindlin officiated
the marriage of musician Michael Feinstein to his male
partner last year. She has long been a supporter of gay
rights.
