If you're feeling operatic, you'll find Berlin hits all the high notes with no less than three official opera companies in the city; Deutsche Oper Berlin (DeutscheOperBerlin.de), Komische Oper Berlin (Komische-Oper-Berlin.de), and Staatsoper Unter den Linden (Staatsoper-Berlin.de).

For good German drag , check Siegessaule for appearances by the groups Die Geschwister Pfister or Zirkus Zaboteur and by famed drag queen Ades Zabel, or for a more cabaret take on the genre, Hans Haustier.

Berlin has a slew of kino (cinema) options. Check listings for showings in "OF" or "Originalfassung" for ones without voiceovers. "OmU" (Original mit Untertiteln) have German subtitles, while "OF mit engl. UT" have English subtitles. In Schoneberg, the Odeon (Hauptstrasse 116; +49-30-7870-4019) shows films exclusively in English. Babylon Kreuzberg (Dresdener Strasse 126; +49-30-6160-9693) offers a daily selection of English-language films with German subtitles.
