Metro Transit Police in Washington, D.C. have released a video showing a "person of interest" in the murder of transgender woman Deoni Jones.
Jones was stabbed in the head about 8:15 p.m. Thursday at a bus stop at East Capitol Street N.E. and Sycamore Road. She was taken in grave condition to a hospital, where she died early Friday morning.
That day, police released an 11-second video from a traffic camera that they say shows an individual they're describing as a "person of interest." In the video, a man is seen crossing the street toward the bus stop where the assault occurred.
dcistreports that "police described the individual in the video as a black male between 30 and 40 years old wearing blue jeans, a gray hooded sweatshirt and black jacket."
