LGBTQ+ and allied celebrities will come together tonight for a concert to benefit LGBTQ+ community centers across the nation that are helping to establish sites in their areas as "Safe Spaces."

Those performing and/or speaking at the event for the Stonewall Inn Gives Back Initiative's Safe Spaces Community Partners include Alexandra Billings, Margaret Cho, Demi Lovato, Chelsea Clinton, Lea DeLaria, Fran Drescher, Billy Eichner, Kiesza, Debra Messing, Julianne Moore, Amy Poehler, Randy Rainbow, Lance Bass, Matt Bomer, Alan Cumming, Jordin Sparks, Andre De Shields, Rita Wilson, Martha Wash, Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi, former Congressman Beto O'Rourke, and many more.

The free livestreamed event will take place at 8 p.m. Eastern at TheStonewallInnSafeSpacesConcert.com, and donations can be made at a GoFundMe page. The Stonewall Inn Gives Back Initiative is the official nonprofit of the Stonewall Inn, the New York City bar where a 1969 uprising helped launch the modern LGBTQ+ rights movement.

The beneficiaries are community centers in parts of the country where LGBTQ+ people face particular challenges, and the centers will identify and designate entertainment venues, food and beverage locations, stores, businesses, and other public venues as "Safe Spaces" for the community. The centers are the Borderland Rainbow Center, El Paso, Texas; Just Us at Oasis Center, Nashville; the Magic City Acceptance Center, Birmingham, Ala.; the Gulf Coast Equality Council, Gulfport/Biloxi, Miss.; the Utah Pride Center, Salt Lake City; and Kansas City Center for Inclusion, Kansas City, Mo.

"The Stonewall Inn is one of the original safe spaces, and it's important that we create more Safe Spaces for the LGBTQA+ community across the country," Kurt Kelly, owner of the Stonewall Inn, said in a press release. "It is so wonderful to see this amazing group of people come together to support our fundraising effort."

"We need to make sure that public venues, stores, business, etc. that say they are LGBTQA+ friendly and a safe space for the community are putting in the work and have the policies, procedures, and training to make sure they truly are a safe and affirming space for our community," added Stacy Lentz, CEO of the Stonewall Inn Gives Back Initiative and co-owner of the Stonewall Inn. "We are deeply grateful to everyone who is participating in this call to action."

The event is produced by Tom and Michael D'Angora and Victoria Varela in association with Tim Guinee, and directed by Michael and Tom D'Angora. Sponsors are Brooklyn Brewery, FCB Health New York, Hawkins Mikita, Jagermeister USA, Jennifer Brown Consulting, JetBlue, Saks Fifth Avenue, and Video Out.
