Police in Scotland are investigating the unexplained death of a man at a gay spa over the weekend. The unidentified 51-year-old man died late Saturday afternoon at the Pipeworks Men's Health Spa on Metropole Lane in Glasgow. While the death is unexplained, authorities indicated they do not suspect foul play was involved and are instead trying to determine an official cause of death.
"We received a report of a sudden death of a 51-year-old man at a premises on Metropole Lane, Glasgow around 7.55 p.m. on Saturday, 26 November, 2022," a spokesperson for the Police Scotland said in a statement. "The death is being treated as unexplained but is not being treated as suspicious.
Pipeworks closed for the night following the death but reopened the following morning. A post to social media advised patrons of the incident.
"We had a serious incident this evening (Saturday) and have been closed since 8pm but will be back open Sunday 10am," Pipeworks posted to its Twitter account.

David Cooper, director of operations at Pipeworks, told The Sunthe man appeared to suffer a cardiac arrest and died despite the "amazing efforts" of staff to save the man.
"Our team's training kicked in and our colleagues performed CPR, whilst utilizing our onsite defibrillator," Cooper said. "Sadly these efforts were not successful and our member sadly passed away. Our condolences go out to the family and friends of our member, whilst we thank the amazing efforts of our highly trained team."
The popular spa had earlier announced online it would be conducting a vaccine clinic for patrons still not vaccinated against the monkeypox virus. It was unclear, though, if there was a connection between the clinic and the man's passing.
