Damon and Pitt Caused Clooney Gay Fan Strip

Matt Damon appeared on the Late Show With David Letterman last week and admitted that a running joke between he and Brad Pitt may be the reason why a gay man stripped at the Venice Film Festival and asked George Clooney to be his lover.

Damon told Letterman Thursday night that Pitt became so frustrated with Italian journalists' questions about when he would marry his partner Angelina Jolie that he told them it would happen once "George Clooney marries his boyfriend," according to E!

"So this Italian journalist comes in and goes, 'Matt, is it true what Brad say [sic]?'" Damon told Letterman. "And I have no idea what he is talking about. But you know, I go, 'Yeah, of course it's true.' And he says, 'Do you mean George Clooney have [sic] a boyfriend?' And now I'm trying to keep a straight face and I go, 'Yeah, of course he's got a boyfriend. And he wants to legally marry him. We've been on him about this for years...'"

Damon was reminded of the exchange last Tuesday, when he learned that an Italian journalist had announced himself as gay at a press conference with Clooney, then stripped and propositioned the actor.
