Actress Glenn Close will join Judy Shepard and others for the New York City premiere of The Laramie Project: Ten Years Later at Lincoln Center on October 12.

That same night, more than 150 theaters across the country will hold performances of the epilogue to The Laramie Project by the Tectonic Theater Project. The epilogue examines the long-term impact of the murder of Matthew Shepard in 1998 on the town of Laramie, Wyo.

In New York City, a pre-show webcast live to the other productions will be guest-hosted by Close, with welcoming remarks by Judy Shepard, according to Playbill.com.

National Public Radio arts and culture correspondent Neda Ulaby will moderate a live webcast of post-show discussion.

The Laramie Project: Ten Years Later includes new interviews with Matthew's mother, Judy, and with Aaron McKinney, who was convicted of murdering Matthew. Follow-up interviews with many Laramie residents from the original play also inform the epilogue.
