Housewives Creator Plans a New Show

Desperate Housewives creator Marc Cherry is working on a new series for ABC for next season. The show, formerly intended as a Desperate Housewives spin-off, will now likely be a standalone show, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

Cherry is working on the show with Housewives executive producers Sabrina Wind and Alexandra Cunningham. While the premise is being worked out, the show is expected to have the same tone as his five-year-old ABC dramedy.
