Glee creator Ryan Murphy said he's "looking forward to seeing a Jay Leno float" at the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade as opposed to one focused on his show. NBC, which orchestrates the parade's broadcast, has reportedly rescinded an offer for the cast of Glee to perform during the show.

Entertainment Weekly reports that the parade has invited casts from other networks' properties, like American Idol and High SchoolMusical, but there is a rumored concern that featuring the Glee cast might promote the Fox show over its own network.

"As with any live event, the talent booking process is a fluid one subject to frequent updates or changes," Macy's spokesman Orlando Veras told EW. "Due to this fact, we don't confirm talent appearances for the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade until early November, when the final lineup is determined."
