Mauresmo to Announce Career Plans

French tennis pro Amelie Mauresmo is expected to announce whether she will continue her tennis career at a press conference on Thursday, Agence France-Presse reports.

Mauresmo, who came out in 1999, announced in October that she would skip her final two tournaments of the season, causing speculation that she would soon retire. Mauresmo was ranked number 1 in tennis in 2004, was a two-time grand slam winner (2006 Wimbledon and Australian Open), and was silver medalist in the 2004 Olympic games in Athens.
