CNN is denying rumors that the network has banned comedian Kathy Griffin from future New Year's Eve broadcasts.
An early report from Popeater.com said the Emmy winner had been banned after she dropped an f bomb on the air during CNN's New Year's Eve program, which she cohosted again with anchor Anderson Cooper. She also raised eyebrows when she lashed back at a heckler during the 2009 New Year's Eve event.
However, CNN publicist Shimrit Sheetrit said released the following statement: "Stories about Kathy Griffin being banned from CNN are incorrect; no decisions have been made regarding next year's show."
