Duncan James, the lead singer of the popular British boy band Blue, recently opened up to The Daily Mail about his bisexuality in response to claims that he's gay.

'I have never been gay," said James, 31. "I have always found women attractive. I have a lot of gay friends and they would not like the idea of making love to a woman -- I'm not like that."

James was had a strict Catholic upbringing and admitted to internal conflict about his religion and sexuality.

"I had Catholic guilt for many years and I still have it," he said. "I'm proud of my faith and I'm really pleased I have it. I say my prayers every night. My friends all laugh at me -- sometimes I've started dozing when I realize I haven't said my prayers, so I get out of bed and start saying them."

James admitted to taking antidepressants after Blue split up. The inner conflict over his sexuality, the death of his grandparents, and the pregnancy of a former girlfriend led to James's depression.

James is currently playing Warner Huntington III in the stage production of Legally Blonde, which opened on the West End this week.
