Actor Wilson Cruz, perhaps best known for his groundbreaking portrayal of a gay teen on the television drama My So-called Life, will be honored with Outfest's Fusion Achievement Award. Fusion: The Los Angeles LGBT People of Color Film Festival will be held March 11-13 in Hollywood.

Cruz, an out actor, played Rickie Vasquez on the short-lived but beloved series from 1994 to 1995. His prolific career includes numerous other LGBT productions, such as the Logo series Noah's Arc and the film Party Monster, as well as mainstream projects, including NBC's ER and 2009's romantic comedy He's Just Not That Into You. He can next be seen in The People I've Slept With, selected for the festival's gala film screening.
