Pop superstar Madonna's plan to build a school for girls in poverty-stricken Malawi will soon be realized, reports BBC News.
Villagers had been protesting the construction but have now accepted compensation of $105, 000 and agreed to leave their land. Madonna has two adopted children, David and Mercy, who were born in Malawi.
Construction of Raising Malawi Girls Academy is expected to begin soon just outside Malawi's capital, Lilongwe.
