The famed photographer Spencer Tunick, known for his installations involving thousands of nude subjects, had his luggage and camera lost by the airline carrying him to his next shoot.

Tunick was on his way to Sydney to shoot "The Base," a piece that will involve thousands of naked people posing inside and outside of the Sydney Opera House on March 1, during the city's Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras. But neither Tunick's clothes nor his camera ended up on the carousel at the airport.

"I am truly the emperor with no clothes," Tunick told News.com.au. "I am so depressed."

But Tunick is soldiering on with "The Base" and the mission behind the shoot: "I want to shout out and spread the word of equality for the gay community."
