Gay BBC Host Kristian Digby Found Dead

Kristian Digby, the 32-year-old gay host of several BBC programs including To Buy or Not to Buy and That Gay Show, was found dead at his east London home Monday morning. According to police, Digby died during "a solo sex game which went tragically wrong." Police say that there are no suggestions of suicide.

Auto-erotic asphyxiation, a dangerous sexual practice which involves depriving the body of oxygen to increase arousal and heighten climax, is also believed to have claimed the life of actor David Carradine last year. He was found dead with a rope tied to his neck, wrists and genitals.

"Kristian was a much-loved and talented presenter for BBC Daytime," a BBC spokesperson said. "He brought a real sense of energy and warmth to all the shows he presented and will be sorely missed. Our thoughts are with his family at this very difficult time."

Digby made a name for himself as a short filmmaker and as the host of numerous daytime programs on the BBC. The Guardian also reported that Digby was quite successful with real estate, buying up cheap properties for renovation
