A student production of the Terrence McNally play Corpus Christi, which features a gay Christ-like figure, will be performed in Fort Worth, Tex. after opposition canceled its scheduled performance at Tarleton State University in Stephenville.

According to the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, "The Rose Marine Theater on North Main Street has agreed to host Corpus Christi, said Adam Adolfo, executive director of Artes de la Rosa, which manages the theater. Although the theater is not endorsing the play's content, Adolfo said, it wants to provide a safe place for the performance."

The play will likely be performed at the end of May. It was scheduled for March 27 at the college, but a professor canceled the production over concerns for safety and security.
