A new, unauthorized Oprah Winfrey biography by Kitty Kelley resurrects the well-worn question of the media mogul's sexual orientation, only to conclude that no evidence supports rumors of her lesbian relationship with best friend Gayle King.

Oprah: A Biography
, for which Kelley did not interview Winfrey, will be released Tuesday. It follows the announcement that Winfrey, 56, will begin to host an evening talk show called Oprah's Next Chapter in late 2011 that will take her to locations around the world and air on her new network, OWN.

According to People.com "On the issue of whether Winfrey and best friend Gayle King are lesbian partners, Kelley concludes there is 'no foundation for the rumors of a lesbian relationship.' But in excerpts published by USA Today, Kelley quotes Rosie O'Donnell (from a 2009 Howard Stern interview) saying Winfrey and King are the 'emotional equivalent of a gay couple,' and author Erica Jong saying, 'I would not be surprised if Oprah is gay.'"
