The six U.S. military veterans arrested Tuesday after handcuffing themselves to the White House fence in protest of the "don't ask, don't tell" policy will be arraigned Wednesday at the D.C. Central Cell Block beginning at 2 p.m.
Pam's House Blend reports, "There's likely to be a media firestorm over at DC Central Cellblock (500 Indiana Avenue, NW, Washington, DC) as arraignments for detainees held overnight begin at 2:00 pm (ET) Wednesday and are selected by random order."
Being held in detention for the action organized by Get EQUAL are Lt. Dan Choi, Capt. Jim Pietrangelo II, Petty Officer Larry Whitt, Petty Officer Autumn Sandeen, Cadet Mara Boyd, and Cpl. Evelyn Thomas.
Choi and Pietrangelo were arrested in a similar action at the White House last month. The activists are urging President Barack Obama to include repeal language for "don't ask, don't tell" in the Defense Authorization Bill.
