Donna Milo may be transgender but that doesn't mean the Republican congressional candidate from Florida supports same-sex marriage or is a big fan of adoption by gay parents.

Speaking Friday on Michelangelo Signorile's radio show, Milo expounded on her far-right views. "I view marriage as a religious sacrament," she said. "I believe that marriage... is between a man and a woman."

She did state support for domestic partnerships, but Milo doesn't support government funding of gender reassignment surgery, and she voiced lukewarm support for gays adopting children.

"I believe, of course, that a child should never be the ward of a state," Milo said. "My preference, of course, would be that children go to traditional homes."

Milo is attempting to unseat south Florida Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz, a liberal Democrat.
