Soldier Taunts Iraqi Kids with Antigay Slurs
A U.S. soldier is under investigation for posting a Facebook video that taunts Iraqi children with gay slurs and asks if they want to grow up to be terrorists.
The video, called "future gay terrorist," was posted by Spec. Robert
Rodriguez, who is based in Alaska, according to the New York Daily
News. It is unclear whether he made the video or only posted it.
"It shows U.S. soldiers on patrol, asking two young boys if they're gay, if they perform certain sex acts and if they want to be terrorists," reports the Daily News.
"The boys, who don't appear to understand English, give the soldiers a thumbs-up. WRAL in Raleigh, N.C. first aired the clip before Rodriguez's Facebook page was made private."
An Army spokesman told the Daily News the video was "disgraceful and clearly inconsistent" with American military standards.
