Rider X to Represent Johnny Weir in AIDS/LifeCycle

Rider X, one of Johnny Weir's fans, is riding in AIDS/LifeCycle, beginning Sunday, on behalf of Weir and his fans and intends to tweet and twitpic along the 545-mile journey from San Francisco to Los Angeles so everyone can follow her progress.

According to the rider's page, hundreds of thousands of fans from around the world are making donations to sponsor Rider X.

Weir fans who organized the effort are encouraging fans to donate two cents per mile to Rider X, an amount that averages to just under $11.

AIDS/LifeCycle 9 starts Sunday in San Francisco. Proceeds benefit the Los Angeles Gay and Lesbian Center and the San Francisco AIDS Foundation.
