On Thursday's episode of Police Women of Memphis on TLC, officer Joy Jefferson responded to a domestic abuse call that she said was the worst crime scene she'd seen in a long time.

Jefferson arrived at an apartment where she found shattered glass, blood on the wall, and a distraught man left to clean up the mess, identified as Thomas. His partner was sent away in handcuffs and was eventually convicted of aggravated assault.

"You're cleaning up this no-good man in your life, clean up your space, and you start over, OK?," she said to Thomas.

According to the Gay Men's Domestic Violence Program, nearly one in four gay men experience some form of domestic violence.
