Broadway triple threat (and frequent Advocate contributor) Nick Adams will star as the ABBA-obsessed Adam/Felicia in Priscilla, Queen of the Desert: The Musical.

The musical stage adaptation of the glittery Academy Award-winning 1994 film, which starred Guy Pearce as Adam/Felicia, will follow the exploits of two young drag performers and an older transgender friend as they find love and friendship while traveling though the Australian outback. Priscilla premiered in Sydney in 2006 and became the most successful Australian musical of all time. The show, which has also received acclaim in a production in London's West End, will make its North American debut in Toronto this fall, followed by a Broadway premiere next spring.

Adams is considered one of Broadway's most promising young performers. He has appeared in recent productions of Chicago, A Chorus Line, Guys and Dolls, and can currently be seen in another drag performance as a cagelle in the Tony Award-winning hit La Cage aux Folles. The actor also recently participated in The Advocate's A Day in Gay America pictorial.
