Lil' Kim may be on Atlanta's Black Gay Pride lineup of entertainment this weekend, but she might not show up.
Lil' Kim told Kontrol magazine that a "psycho lunatic" who says he is her booking agent scammed the organizers out of $15,000. She was slated to play at midnight on Saturday. The promoter of the event, however, thinks she is trying to avoid being the opening act for Nicki Minaj.
The pint-sized hip-hop star says she loved performing at the same event last year, and would do it again, but she is not available to play on that date.
"I feel so bad," the Georgia Voice quotes her as saying. "He basically conned them and got $15,000 out of them." She added, "I love gay pride. I'm so upset I'm not going to be there. You should make me the marquee...the hostess of gay pride weekend every year."
Mario Harris, CEO of Wassup N ATL, said he is working with Lil' Kim's assistant to try to make sure she appears as promised. However, he said Tone, the person supposedly posing as her booking agent, is reputable and has booked Rihanna in the past.
