A gay sex scene excised from the 1972 film Score will be restored when the film premieres on home video in October. Directed by cult filmmaker Radley Metzger, Score was based on a 1971 off-Broadway play that starred Sylvester Stallone and was one of the first mass-market erotic films to explore couples that swing both ways.

The uncensored version of the film contains seven minutes of gay sex scenes between actors Gerald Grant and Cal Culver, who also worked in adult films, including the seminal classic Boys in the Sand, under the name Casey Donovan.

The Advocate's review of the film on its initial release said, "It will appeal to just about any sexual appetite." The uncensored version of Score is scheduled to be released on DVD and Blu-ray October 12.
