Stars from the ABC soap operas All My Children and General Hospitalwill come together for a three-night-only benefit performance of the Kander and Ebb revue The World Goes 'Round to raise money for the Los Angeles Gay and Lesbian Center.

All My Children leading ladies Bobbie Eakes (pictured at right), Natalie Hall, and Chrishell Stause will join General Hosptal's Brandon Barash (pictured at left) and Bradford Anderson for the evenings of song October 7-9. All My Children's Cameron Mathison, Christina Bennett Lind (Bianca, daytime's only out lesbian character), and Walt Willey will serve as hosts.

The World Goes 'Round takes its name from a tune the songwriting team penned for Liza Minnelli to sing in the film New York, New York. It ran for a year off-Broadway in 1991 and 1992.

Stars from ABC's daytime lineup (including The View and One Life to Live) have been raising money for gay causes for several years. In March, ABC put on its sixth annual musical revue benefiting Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS. That event has raised more than $1.6 million for the cause.

"Working with Broadway Cares/ Equity Fights AIDS in NYC, we've been able to showcase the incredible talents of the actors who star on All My Children, One Life to Live and General Hospital, all the while giving back to our fans and to aiding BC/EFA in their lifesaving work and all the organizations and grants that they support," ABC Daytime's Michael Cohen, who created both the New York and Los Angeles events, told The Advocate. "Now that All My Children is in Los Angeles, I also wanted to find a way to create a similar event with a local organization.

"The center does such incredible and important work for the LGBT community, and in today's economy; budgets all around have been drastically cut. We have great hopes that this three-performance benefit will raise needed funds to help this organization do the amazing work that they do that helps so many within the community."
