Porn Studio Resumes Production Following HIV Scare
At least one adult film studio has resumed production following an industry-wide shut down when a performer tested positive for HIV.
Two rounds of testing show the actor who tested positive for the virus October 9 did not transmit HIV to any other actors, according to The Los Angeles Times. The performer, whose name has not been released but is being identified as Patient Zeta, was tested at the Adult Industry Medical Healthcare Foundation in Sherman Oaks, Calif. The clinic is used by many porn studios to test performers for sexually transmitted diseases or infections.
After several studios halted production following the news, Vivid Entertainment co-founder Steven Hirsch (pictured) told The Los Angeles Times resumed filming on Monday.
