Lt. Col. Victor Fehrenbach, who is fighting his discharge from the Air Force, told Rachel Maddow that he felt "encouraged" by the latest developments toward repealing the "don't ask, don't tell" policy by the end of this year.
Fehrenbach appeared on The Rachel Maddow Show just hours after Senate majority leader Harry Reid and the White House committed to bringing repeal to a vote as part of the National Defense Authorization Act in the lame duck session after Thanksgiving.
