Fortune magazine profiles Chief Justice John Roberts in a recent
issue, and as with most magazine profiles, that means talking to members of
his family -- in this case that includes his lesbian cousin, Jean
Podrasky.
The profile was posted by
Michael Petrelis and
Towleroad.com: From the profile: "Roberts is likely to vote like a conservative if the Court eventually hears the constitutional showdown that [legal expert Tom] Goldstein considers "possibly the case of the century": the challenge to the constitutionality of California's Proposition 8, the 2008 ballot initiative forbidding gay marriage."
Podrasky says she doesn't know Roberts well but that he's "always been very kind to our family." She says he knows she's gay and that she and her longtime partner would like to get married one day.
But when asked if she and Roberts have ever discussed marriage equality, she quickly says she's not going to disrespect Roberts by "asking him about his cases."
