Lee Pace and Jim Parsons will make their Broadway debuts in the upcoming production of Larry Kramer's The Normal Heart.

Pace, who starred as transgender performer Calpernia Addams in the 2003 film Soldier's Girl, has been cast as Bruce Niles, while Parsons, an Emmy award-winner for this sitcom The Big Bang Theory, will play Tommy Boatwright. Both will join previously announced cast members Joe Mantello as Ned Weeks, Ellen Barkin as Dr. Emma Brookner, and John Benjamin Hickey as Felix Turner. Joel Grey will direct the production, which will begin a limited 12-week engagement April 19 at the John Golden Theatre. The official opening is scheduled for April 27.

Kramer's landmark play about the early years of the AIDS epidemic first opened off-Broadway on in 1985 and ran for 294 performances. The Broadway revival follows an acclaimed staged reading of the play in New York last October, which raised $150,000 for charity.
