Archie's Pal Kevin Keller Is an Army Brat

Perhaps Kevin Keller's dad is hoping his son can follow in his footsteps now with the imminent end of "don't ask, don't tell."

Archie Comics' newest addition, gay teen Kevin Keller, will soon introduce his father, a three-star general. The cover of the comic shows Kevin embracing his father and saying, "Dad, you're my hero!"

The story will appear in the second issue of Kevin's spin-off series this August, according to Comic Book Resources.

The first issue featuring Kevin -- an issue of Veronica in which Kevin was introduced as the new guy in Riverdale -- sold out in its first printing last September.
