A judge has given the green-light for a jury trial in actress Nicollette Sheridan's lawsuit against gay Desperate Housewives creator Marc Cherry and the show's network, ABC.
Sheridan claims that, while employed on his show, Cherry slapped, harassed, and then fired her after she complained about the alleged assault. Judge Elizabeth Allen White dismissed the assault and harassment charges, but allowed Sheridan's charges of wrongful termination and retaliation to be decided by a jury. Much to the chagrin of Cherry and ABC, the trial begins next month in Los Angeles. Read the full story here.
