Los Angeles's Getty Museum announced on Wednesday that it acquired 69 photographs by Herb Ritts, one of the biggest fashion and celebrity photographers of the 1980s and '90s.

The collection by the Los Angeles-based gay photographer, who passed away in 2002, includes shots of Richard Gere, Greg Louganis, and supermodels like Cindy Crawford and Naomi Campbell. Much of the acquisition comes as a gift from the Herb Ritts Foundation.

The Ritts photos will be part of an exhibition at the Getty in April. Click here to read more.
