Gaga in Male Drag: Her New Video Leaks

Lady Gaga's video for "You and I" has leaked early courtesy of blogger Perez Hilton and shows the musician not only making out with a male version of herself but in the mermaid costume that sparked controversy last month.

After the low-key clip for "The Edge of Glory," in which she abandoned plans to appear as a mermaid in favor of just singing on a city-themed soundstage, the video for "You and I" marks a return to the lavishly produced mini films fans have come to expect from Gaga. Bette Midler had briefly marked her claim on the mermaid-in-a-wheelchair costume, with several tweets before sending another saying "Fabulous mermaids can coexist."

Gaga had announced that her new video would be her 1,000th tweet. "You and I" was scheduled to premiere Thursday, and earlier today fans were curious about a series of tweets from the performer that read, "Fuck," "Thurs," and "Day" before she sent a link to the new video, marking her 1,000th message sent via Twitter.
