Navy Officer Behind Antigay Sex Videos Not Discharged

A Navy panel has ruled against discharging the former commander of the USS Enterprise for producing and broadcasting a series of raunchy videos that contained simulated sex and antigay slurs.

The videos were reportedly shown to service members deployed in Iraq and Afghanistan.

The three-admiral board of inquiry made a unanimous decision that while the actions of Capt. Owen P. Honors constituted misconduct and substandard performance, they were not substantial enough to end his nearly 30-year Navy career.

"O.P. is pleased," said an attorney for Honors. "He's not happy about the finding of misconduct, but retention is huge."
