He indulges his interest in transportation and urban planning with regular contributions to Los Angeles magazine, and his work has also appeared in the Los Angeles Times and USA Today. The organization that represents people of color working in the media is teaming up with the National Lesbian and Gay Journalists Association so the two groups can work together to foster more diversity in America's newsrooms.

UNITY, representing Asian-American, Native American, and Latino journalists, pushes for more faces of color at newspapers, magazines, and broadcast news channels, as well as fair and accurate portrayals in the media. NLGJA pushes for more and better opportunities for LGBT journalists.

UNITY and NLGJA agreement will help both organizations achieve their missions, and NLGJA members will be welcomed to UNITY's conference next year in Las Vegas. Read more about UNITY here and NLGJA here.
