A married Lake Worth, Florida, janitor has been sentenced to 15 years in prison for causing the death of a cross-dressing waiter with whom he had a sexual relationship.

Juan Carlos Atenco Camacho, 25, was arrested in July 2010 after allegedly confessing to the killing of Naum Rafael Mendez, 33, who was described by his brother as a homosexual transvestite who waited tables and danced at a club.

Camacho, the last person seen with the victim in 2008, initially denied having a sexual relationship with Mendez, telling police the two only had a drink together. In 2010, after being confronted with evidence, Camacho admitted to being involved with Mendez and stabbing him after Mendez asked Camacho to leave his wife.

Camacho told police he had dumped Mendez's body west of Palm Beach Gardens but it has never been found.
