Rep. Michele Bachmann has a habit of dodging questions. And the last to notice is antigay preacher and radio show host Bradlee Dean, who should be in Bachmann's corner considering she joined a fundraiser for his ministries and prayed for him.

"I was listening to a radio show, and she was asked a question and she would not answer the question," Dean said on his own radio show last week, a change in tone discovered by the Dump Bachmann Blog.

"She was asked two different times," said Dean, who made clear who he was talking despite not using Bachmann's name. "She kept going to the left. She would not answer the question. And then the next thing you know, she started talking about her presidential campaign, what she was going to do, and jobs this and jobs that. That's not what he asked you, lady. Just answer the question."

Dean's final judgement: "I thought it was shameful conduct."

Bachmann first got into the habit of not answering questions when reporters started asking her about so-called reparative therapy (because her husband's Christian counseling clinics were caught offering it). Her non-answers on gay rights issues often included a reference to the "tip of the spear" and a reminder that she's running for the presidency of the United States. For example, it wasn't until one grieving mother delivered a petition with thousands of names on it that Bachmann said anything about her district being designated as a source of "suicide contagion."

Dean wasn't upset, though, when Bachmann was dodging questions about her antigay beliefs. Dean is notorious for opening a special session of the Minnesota legislature with a prayer that slammed President Obama as not Christian, then lawmakers went on to consider a ballot initiative to ban same-sex marriage. He's called gay people "criminal predators" and serial child molesters, and he said Muslim countries that execute gay people are "more moral than even the American Christians."

Bachmann hadn't distanced herself from Dean. And that led to her being glitter-bombed by a protester shouting, "You can run, but you can't hide." That's what Dean calls his ministry.

Now it's Dean who is distancing himself from Bachmann.

"It's like the guy that walks around with an open container of cheese, you know those little string-cheese deals, in his pocket," he said on the radio, comparing Bachmann to stinky cheese. "Everybody's trying to figure out, 'Where's that smell coming from? You stink you stink.' And everybody knows who stinks, they're just trying to figure out why that individual stinks. Well, go look. But that individual's walking around with their nose up in the air like they're all that and a bag of chips. And she doesn't realize everybody's looking at her, like, 'Lady, you stink.'"
