NY’s Metropolitan Bar May Lose Liquor License Due to Noise
A popular watering hole in Brooklyn, New York, has found itself in hot water since members of Community Board 1 unanimously voted to reject the bar's liquor license renewal.
Gothamist reports that neighbors of Metropolitan, a gay bar located in Williamsburg that features an outdoor patio, say they have had enough of the noise coming from the busy establishment.
While New York's state liquor agency will have the final say on whether or not the bar's license will be renewed, locals hope Metropolitan's owners will find a way to soundproof the outdoor area.
"I could care less if people were making out back there," said Sinclair Rankin, who lives nearby. "You can't hear making out."
