👏🏽 Congressional Democrats reintroduced the Equality Act on Tuesday, reviving a long-running effort to enshrine federal protections against discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity. “We’re here today to fight for equality, to fight for opportunity, to fight for freedom,” Sen. Jeff Merkley said. “Freedom is the right to live as your authentic self without fear of harassment, discrimination, or violence."
