The “Nothing Compares 2 U” singer released 10 albums over her career.

O’Connor received the inaugural award for Classic Irish Album at the Irish RTÉ Choice Music Awards earlier this year, the Times reports.

Her speech was met with a standing ovation as she dedicated her win “I Do Not Want What I Haven’t Got” to “each and every member of Ireland’s refugee community.”

She added, “You’re very welcome in Ireland. I love you very much and I wish you happiness.”

O’Connor is survived by three children. Her son Shane died last year.

The performer is also known for her appearance on Saturday Night Live where she ripped a photo of Pope John Paul II during her set.
