Zaya Wade is one of the very notable figures that secured a spot on the Out100 list and she couldn't be more grateful for the honor. At this year's special Out100 party, Wade was joined by her powerhouse parents Gabrielle Union and Dwyane Wade as she celebrated queer representation with her peers.

"I'm freaking out! These are icons in queer media. This is my celebrity freak out, so I'm dying. I'm so honored to be honored. I have so much love and happiness for the community," Zaya Wade tells Out.

Ever since she came out as trans at just 12 years old, Wade's family has been nothing but supportive and loving throughout her journey. As she gears up to head to college next year, the activist hopes her work through Translatable, an online safe space for LGBTQ+ youth, will make an even bigger impact next year.

"This year I wanted to find myself and I'm ready to bring the energy next year for my community. I'm manifesting so much progress for Translatable."
