The couple will oversee construction of a gorilla conservation center in Rwanda.
Ellen DeGeneres and wife Portia de Rossi are heading for Rwanda. Portia gifted Ellen with her own wildlife fund for the talk show host's 60th birthday. DeGeneres has a deep affinity for Dian Fossey's dedication to animals. Her wildlife fund's first initiative is to build a gorilla conservation center in Rwanda and will form part of the Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund. The couple spent their weekend in Nairobi, Kenya at an exclusive boutique hotel, Giraffe Manor.
