Adult film star Dave Slick died after being found unresponsive in the bathroom of a Chicago restaurant Friday morning, XBIZ reports.

Slick, who performed for Chaturbate and Falcon Studios, was in the Chicago area for an adult entertainment convention. He was found unconscious on Friday morning at a Qdoba restaurant in downtown Chicago and rushed to Rush University Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead. The Chicago Police Department is investigating his death, according to The Sword.

Slick, 26, was a relative newcomer to the adult film world, having cultivated a following through webcam videos and social media. A post on The Sword indicated that Slick previously battled substance abuse issues.

"[Slick] was earnest and ambitious," Falcon Studios Group president Tim Valenti said in a statement. "This is a tragic loss."

The gay male porn industry recently lost another performer -- actor Billy Herrington was killed in a car accident in March.
