Cynthia Nixon, the actress and activist now running for governor of New York, posted a message on Instagram Friday in which she congratulated her son Samuel Joseph Mozes on completing his undergraduate degree and on coming out as transgender. The message coincided with the Trans Day of Action. "I'm so proud of my son Samuel Joseph Mozes (called Seph) who graduated college this month," she wrote. "I salute him and everyone else marking today's #TransDayofAction. #TDOA."
